The 2024 NZSFC Youth Nationals took place recently over the school holidays, and we would like to acknowledge the achievements of our junior and intermediate club anglers, earning MBGFC 4th place overall! We had awesome standings within this competition this year thanks to our anglers that got stuck in representing the MBGFC!

• Wednesday Roast Night – Roast night tonight features export quality slow cooked lamb with roast spuds and vege’s. Absolute bargain at $15. You couldn’t cook this meal yourself for this price ! The normal menu is available as well.
• Thursday Raffles – Fresh whole sirloins are back! We have managed to buy whole fresh sirloins that everyone loves so much. Looks like good weather this weekend so an ideal opportunity to win some frying steak for those last BBQs of the season. All the other favorite raffles, meat packs, pork roasts etc.
• Sunday Mother’s Day Special ! Mum gets her first drink free from the club. You won’t need to shout her the first glass of bubbles ! Why not pop down to the club Sunday night for a Mother’s Day Dinner Meal ! Chef Poppy has put together some specials that are sure to please. Creamy Pumpkin Soup topped with roasted seeds served with crusty bread for $9.50, , goat cheese, pumpkin and beetroot salad with walnuts and honey dressing ( $18) and to top it off chocolate fondant with ice cream for $7.00.
• Warriors On The Big Screen Sunday – the Warriors need to get back on a winning track this week where they take on the Sydney City Roosters. Kick off is at 4.pm. Pop down, have a beer and watch it on the big screen.
The end of April marked the wrap of the 23-24 Ladies Blue Tournament! Well done to all our ladies that got out there over the summer season and had a good crack at this comp! We had some great catches come into the weigh station, with 10 Marlin tagged, 12 Tuna and 3 Billfish weighed in! 💪🏼
Congratulations to our prize winners, we can’t wait to celebrate you at prizegiving!
