Friday Flash 29th October

by | Oct 29, 2021 | Friday Flash

Most of the fishing recently has been targeting snapper and they’ve had some good success. There have been a lot of people trying artificial lures such as soft baits, slow jigs and sliders which have been working well. There were one or two crews heading out for a ‘puka’ fish but I haven’t yet heard how they got on although there are reports of some very nice blue water out there.

Popular spots for snapper and gurnard have been out the back of Centre Island and in the Puddle but most rocks and reefs are likely to be holding snapper.

KITCHEN

Next weeks Wednesday roast will be Lamb – $15 per meal and something a bit different this week.

AGM

Will be tomorrow (Saturday) at 5pm. We’ll have copies of all the relevant paperwork (financials, notices of motion) for those who wish to attend. Please come down if your able and show your interest in how the Club is running.

TOURNAMENTS

There was a fair bit of info regarding the tournaments in last weeks Friday Flash. Since then, Thomas Maxwell has announced much of the sponsorship and the rules for the 2022 Kubota Billfish Classic which will be even bigger than last years event.
