We would like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to Julz, Tina and Karen and their helpers for their dedication, hard work and passion to ensure this tournament has been a success in the many years that they have put this together. They have decided to have a break from this tournament but you will see them around helping other tournament convenors.
We would also like to thank the many sponsors of our ladies tournament for their continued support throughout the years and we look forward to working with you all to continue the success this tournament brings to the community and the club.
Meeting for Protecting the Sea on Our Doorstep – Where from Here?
Saturday, 17 July from 3:00pm – 5:00pm at the Mercury Bay Club, Cook Drive, Whitianga.
A community discussion – There is a concern that if our voice is not heard at this stage, we may see a proliferation of marine protected areas foisted on us without consultation.
Please attend the event if you can to avoid the possible pain of the thin end of the wedge!
Hireage of Blue Lagoon Our Blue Lagoon area is available to be hired should you need a dry space to work, if you are interested please contact Louise for further details
We would like to thank our volunteer drivers for our curtesy van that we run on a Thursday night and also to John who volunteered to drive on Saturday night for our Pink Ribbon event. You are all a huge help to the club and appreciate you giving up your time to make sure our Members arrive and get home safely.
