Welcome Our New Sponsors

A huge thank you to our new tournament sponsors:

The Stunned Mullet β€’ OKUMA β€’ BONZE Lures β€’ Coastline Excavations β€’ PJ Builders β€’ Kitchen FX

Their generous support has helped us introduce some exciting new prize categories for this year's tournament.

The southern bluefin tuna are expected to round East Cape in the coming weeks, and our Winter Tuna Tournament is perfectly timed to target these incredible fish as they make their way through our local waters.

The tournament runs from 4th July to 29th August and remains a popular cash in – cash out event, with an entry fee of $200 per boat. All entry money is returned as cash prizes, with payouts for 1st through to 5th place.

πŸ† Heaviest Tuna Winner will also receive a fantastic prize pack.

New Sponsor-Supported Categories

🐟 Last Tuna Weighed
🐟 Heaviest Tuna – Junior (Under 17)
🐟 Heaviest Tuna – Lady Angler

Optional Sweepstake

For those wanting a little extra excitement, there will be an optional $50 sweepstake for Average Weight Tuna. It's a great way to stay in the competition and have a chance at a payout, even if you don't land the biggest fish.

With cash prizes, sponsor prizes, and the opportunity to battle one of New Zealand's most prized game fish, this year's tournament is shaping up to be a cracker.

Get your crew together, make sure the gear is ready, and be prepared when the bluefin arrive. We look forward to seeing plenty of fish on the scales and hearing some great stories at the weigh station.

Good luck and tight lines!
