Ocean sunset

Welcome to the 3rd annual SUZUKI Top Ten Tuna Tournament.

Get your team together and entry forms in, this year the tournament will be run over 8 days

There is no briefing for this tournament but you will need to register after 11am on Friday 5th January. Starter packs will contain tournament rules, sponsors material and other useful information.

Whilst people are welcome to fish all 8 days, this will also give anglers the opportunity to pick the best weather days during this 8 day period and just fish those days.

Hours of fishing:  0600 Saturday 6th January till 1600 Saturday Jan 13th

The Weigh Station is open from 1630 to 1930 on days one to seven and 1530 to 1830 on day eight

One of each species per angler per day. This applies to the date of catch (as per the catch card), not the date of weighing.

- Prizegiving will be on the 13th Jan at 8PM in the Clubrooms

There will be 5 x Suzuki DF2.5 outboard motors valued at $6500.00 to be given away as lucky angler draws.  (You must be present at prizegiving to be eligible for the draw)

Due to insufficient numbers that have entered the Suzuki Top Ten Tournament so far, a variation of rule 19 will apply to change the format of the prize allocation, to ensure the club minimizes any exposure to a financial loss.
Prize allocation will be based on a percentage of the total pool of entries. The more entries we get, the higher the prize pool will be.
Rule 19: Prize Allocation
Prizes will be awarded to the anglers catching the ten heaviest eligible fish regardless of line weight as follows:
• 1st prize = 30% of the pool
• 2nd prize = 20% of the pool
• 3rd prize = 10% of the pool
• 4th prize = 9% of the pool
• 5th prize = 8 % of the pool
• 6th prize = 7 % of the pool
• 7th prize = 6% of the pool
• 8th prize = 5% of the pool
• 9th prize = 3% of the pool
• 10th prize = 2% of the pool

Spot Prizes - Due the generous sponsorship of Suzuki NZ and Pacific Coast Marine, there will still be the fantastic spot prizes of 5 x 2.5hp Suzuki outboard motors for all entrants to be in the draw for (must be at prizegiving to be eligible for the draw)

If two or more anglers catch fish of equal weight they will each receive the average of the relevant prizes.

None of these 10 cash prizes will be drawn.
